In the Wall Street Journal today:

Compaq, the big Houston computer maker, showed off a $1,599 PC that comes from the factory with a so-called asynchronous digital subscriber-line modem, which can download data over telephone lines at speeds 25 times faster than a standard PC modem. The company calls the machine "broadband ready'--computer slang for capable of ultra-fast communications.

Guess the hype in ADSL is back :)
