Andrew, you are absolutely right about Steven wanting to "prove the revenue stream" . He was most emphatic about that goal. As you suggest, the WINTV board will allow WAVX to begin to project a revenue stream from the utilization of the WINTV/Wavemeter combination. Your suggestion that shareholders buy and use the metering function is a good one. Also it will give WAVX a way to prepare for the onslaught in useage Steven sees coming later in "99" when we have several million Wavemeters shipped in I/O boards to several OEM's. The analysts will finally have something "concrete"on which to base revenue projections.

Best wishes, Ron

Andrew... what's it mean...

You're referring to this:

>>>>What is Wave System's business model?

Wave Systems is primarily a content distribution and services company that creates innovative technologies to support business. The EMBASSY E-Commerce System is the primary platform to enable Wave Systems' core business. Wave System's business model includes the subsidization of the technology costs for deployment as well as services revenue sharing with platform providers such as the PC OEMs.

Wave's primary revenues will be received from three key service areas. As a core distribution channel for digital content and software, Wave Systems has already signed agreements with the top education and entertainment software companies to provide dramatic new channels of distribution, which will enable these industries to build business models based on rental, pay per use and advertising supported products. Second, for enterprises, ISVs, services companies and other companies who require the security and application capabilities of client based EMBASSY system, Wave Systems will provide application hosting services based on the EMBASSY platform. This will allow anyone to create new secure applications and services, and have them deployed or made available to EMBASSY enabled devices. Finally, the EMBASSY system creates a strategic new customer relationship interface and client based portal to the entire range of network-enabled services and content not limited to just the Internet. This customer relationship capability provides a robust opportunity for merchandising and advertising services offered by Wave Systems.

Wave Systems is building a wide range of relationships with key companies across multiple industries to exploit these new opportunities. Based on that approach it is anticipated that additional relationships will be announced as the technology is deployed.<<<<<<

The second and third revenue generating opportunities are part and parcel with the "JUICY CUT" we get from supplying the means for others to operate across the EMBASSY platform. As stated, "Wave System's business model includes ..... REVENUE SHARING with platform providers such as the PC OEMs." The FULL features of the EMBASSY platform are painstakingly related for our edification as we read through the latest announcement at wave.com THE EMBASSY INFORMATION PAGE, STATEMENTS OF INDUSTRY SUPPORT FOR THE EMBASSY SYSTEM, and THE NEXT STEP FOR THE EMBASSY SYSTEM. The EMBASSY SYSTEM is really 99% our WaveMeter system. HP's stuff is being added to "get us across the boarder" and into the greedy little hands and homes of millions of rodent like consumers and the businesses out to make a buck off them.

Besides the HP agreement and "signed agreements with the top education and entertainment SOFTWARE companies," Wave Systems (as you are fully aware for want of at least your WinTV) also has pending agreements with the BROADCAST media entertainment industry, electronic "newspapers" e-booksellers etc. All of them quite interested in the metering arms of the electronic data services and "enabled devices" age to come.

Oh well,
I hope some of this "refresher course" helps.
Your Friend,
Marty

P.S. Television still sucks. My brain would be better off mixing the sap of my home grown Papaver somniferum with gin and vermouth for entertainment and enlightenment. I'll have to pass on the WinTV.
