PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 24, 1998--

E-Mail is Internet's Largest Activity --
Estimated 80 Million E-Mail Users in 1998

Acacia Research Corp. (Nasdaq/NM:ACRI) Tuesday announced that
affiliate Internet Software LLC has changed its name to
Signature-mail.com llc to focus the Alexandria, Va., company's
marketing and branding efforts for its Signature-mail product on the
Internet.
Personalized beta versions of Signature-mail are now available
for a free download at signature-mail.com. Beta testers
will receive a complimentary copy of the commercial product.
Signature-mail, a proprietary software product, currently works
for more than 25 million Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT e-mail
users of Netscape Communicator/Messenger, Microsoft IE4/Outlook
Express, Outlook 98, AOL 4.0 and Eudora Pro 4.1, and will soon be
available for the Macintosh platform.
Signature-mail enables users to personalize their e-mail and
computer documents by including an image of their handwritten
signatures, greetings and drawings, and by easily changing the image's
size and color.
Signature-mail.com currently has the technical capacity to sell
and immediately deliver online up to 500,000 custom-produced

E-mail is the largest, most popular Internet activity. Industry
analysts project that e-mail users will increase from 80 million today
to more than 200 million by the end of 2000. It is predicted that

customization technologies. The company will sell through electronic
and conventional media and deliver its products directly to customers
online.
