Oracle's announcement helps Linux. It doesn't help Phoenix a bit. I find it amusing that Wall Street is bidding up Internet companies shortly before the bandwidth barrier constrains their growth, while ignoring semiconductor IP companies and Linux. IBM collapsed due to their own failings shortly after the government dropped their antitrust case and I suspect Microsoft may follow their example. I wish the government would stop harassing companies that are obviously facing a great deal of intense competition.
