His talking down the market has no long lasting effect, gregor. I don't think the cut was warranted. As he shores up credit market and makes the additional capital available to corporate borrowers he hurts the purchasing power of the dollar. I thought that was his primary mission protecting our purchasing power, price stability and all that. How do we know that it wouldn't be better for the credit markets to see a little bit of contraction here to prevent overinvestment?
