First 366s, 380s and 400s went out to big OEMs...for Christmas sales...check your local retailers this weekend...
Christmas buying season starts thanksgiving...the 400s will be there...in droves...
I'm hoping we will see some 450s before Christmas but I don't think it will be many if we do...
Never the less, AMD sould sell over 5 million chips this Qtr., basically they are sold out plus some...

While the absence of the K6-400Mhz from Pricewatch is not a good sign, it does not necessarily mean that AMD is not producing lots of the parts. It simply means that they are production limited.

AMD will not ship to distributors until they have met the requirements of their major direct sales customers. If Compaq and others are buying a lot and accelerating their deliveries they may not have any for distributors for some time. Lets hope this is the case.

<<Are K6-400's available? Pricewatch seems to be deferring it to the end of the month, or early December. Getting pretty close to missing Christmas.>>

Isn't it a groovy feeling knowing that you going to get a chip K6-2-400MHz for Christmas? Personally I rather have a whole K6-2-400MHz system (Compaq K6-2-400MHz with 17" screen monitor and 56K modem) for Christmas. In that way I don't have to go out and buy

1) Supersocket 7 MB
2) Hard drive
3) Graphic card
4) Box
5) Sound card
6) Modem
7) Speakers
8) Memory
9) Key board
10) CD ROM
11) Floppy drive
12) Monitor
13) Mouse
14) Fan for CPU
15) Thermal grease for CPU
16) Windows 98

Get the drift?
