Beginning this week, Compaq will sell its Presario 5100c Series Internet PCs equipped with Compaq's new 1.5Mb Max Digital modem that contains Lucent's WildWireâ„¢ DSP1690 chip set. Compaq's modem and Lucent's chip set will also be made available this week for use in Compaq's Presario 5600 Series PCs.

How does Westell fit in this, if at all? It seems to me that at the
remote end Westell will not be a player because of the Compaq's and 3COM's of the world. So does Westell get some kind of royalty fee
from Lucent, or is Lucent fazing Westell out with Aware's partnership?
Another question, is Alcatel going to faze out Westell with the DSC buyout, and the Tosheba partnership?
