The article states that it has been his style to sell off portions (50%) and maintain some interest in the rest. His buying of Southern Pacific Railroad, selling off a portion of it and maintaining the rights of way for this network, is the example. The article also states that Qwest has a lot of selling to do to generate revenue and thinks this bandwidth can be sold for a nice price...the price the article mentioned was ~$56.00.

I took a quick peek on the forbes site, but did not see the article...perhaps a search will bring it to you.
