>>Zen and the Art of WinNT

Ah, this clarifies things immensely. Get in touch with
your inner NT self, such as it is, is the message I
read here.

Do not bother to correct me if I am wrong in your
particular case, because it is true somewhere. Or was.
Or will be. Eventually.

We rise to a new plane of existence. But there is no hurry.
In fact, there is only a small portion of time involved
that we need take note of. The rest merely passes, and
we observe it but are not involved with it. This is the
time outside of OS installs and/or copies and/or restores.
And, conceivably, we must also notice time for hardware
assembly. Otherwise, time is of no essence; it passes
us by and we take note but do not react. I realize this
is repetitive, but it is simultaneously important enough
to repeat and outside our true time frame so therefore
not significant, a fine duality.

There are truths here which I observe but do not fully
comprehend. They require contemplation, to
which I now turn myself. Also supper.

Zen-like focus

Given Spots' post (which I enjoyed immensely BTW <g>) perhaps lack of focus would be more accurate! And if it is lack of focus, perhaps I am indeed an NT candidate ... in the fullness of time. <g>

Brief status for those interested: running 4 21" monitors under Win98 on a 300a on the bh6 at a 100mhz front-end bus at a 4.5 multiplier for a chip speed of 450mhz. I did give 112mhz bus speed a go (504mhz): completed POST just fine ... but my $9 ISA NIC doesn't like it. <g> Great ref I most likely found right on this thread: (Dan perhaps?)

cpu-central.com

Working on establishing a clean install before I xfer TradeStation over. Then I can optimize systems to provide near infinite burn-in potential. <g>

Thanks to all those who helped shape this system!
