I am sorry that the quote was vague. What I am trying to say is that the people who will determine our future economic prosperity will be the folks who use technology in an imaginative and creative way. These people will be our heroes and heroines, according to the Sunday edition of The New York Times Magazine. CEO's like Scott from SUNW and Larry from ORACLE keep plugging away in the PC and internet business. Other CEO's, like Texaco's, use technology to cut their expenses and increase their revenues. It's sad but the downturn in the world economy has hurt sales. They will recover eventually, however. Other companies like Intel tried to implement innovative technology (NSP) but, from what we read in the press, MSFT said it wasn't up to par and a waste of Intel's time. I believe I read MSFT said the same thing about an innovation that Apple believed in. Our economic future depends not only innovative technology but, also, our future depends upon those who understand how people react to technology (information from basic research--back to grad school for many). Also, our economic prosperity depends upon the company's ability to assimilate and utilize the technology in a way that works best for the company. [Not sure what your message was all about but at least our CEO (Scott) is better looking than MSFT CEO (Bill). I just cant believe how successful SUNW has become in thepast few weeks.] Your comment is interesting. Last week, I attended a party where a manager from MSFT lifted his dress shirt. Underneath he wore a tee-shirt. The words on the tee-shirt said something like "Word 2000". I didn't get a close look. He covered it up quickly. Think he was talking about NT 2000. MSFT thinks in terms of millions of line of complex and cumbersome code to solve their problems. SUNW and Oracle look at problems, make mistakes, re-evaluate and go back to the drawing boards. SUNW has been working on JAVA and JENI for quite awhile. We only noticed in the last few weeks!!!! So that is why we are surprised!!!!
