No, everyone is insane, but as George Santayana said, there is such a thing as "normal madness." Rationality is the harmonizing of irrational forces; irrationality is disruption. And it's helpful to have names for different types of disruption.

Such as manic purchase of stocks.

I have a pet subject that I wish you would comment on: Mike Milken and Drexel. I hold a view which only a very small minority hold. That 1. Milken, if anything, was guilty of technical violations. 2. considering the incredible number of tickets written during those hectic years, a very small number of violations were found. 3. Essentially Milken rocked the world of corporate ceo's and encountered more power than even sadaam hussein faced in desert storm. 4. that rudy g. was a power hungry azw that didn't understand securities laws. 5. that rico statutes were improperly instituted. 6. that in no event should drexel have been killed off. and 7. milken was a valuation hero anticipating the bull market (wouldn't you love to turn the clock back 15 years and buy all the stock in sight even if you were borrowing at 14%?)

Tell me you think I am wrong like everybody else does. I don't listen to them. BTW I have read nearly every book out there on the subject.
