I guess we would have to get Rudedog to be a bit more specific. I think he may be talking about server level storage systems. At the mainframe level, I remember that EMC actually passed IBM in the number of gigabytes of storage shipped a couple of years ago. I don't know if IBM ever got the lead back, but there is no question EMC is a leader with their Symmetrix product. I remember visiting some of IBM's larger mainframe customers and they all had this product installed, and were enamored of EMC's products in general. Comments like 'very reliable' were often made. This was about four years ago, and EMC's stock was trading in the teens at the time. If you look at an EMC chart reflecting prices since that time, the rest is history. <ggg>

What are everyone's opinions on where CPQ closes on Friday? The Nov 35's look awfully tempting to sell as a covered call and maybe pick up a "freebie".

John K's comment is correct - I was referring to multi-vendor storage. I don't think CPQ has any plans to go after mainframe storage, which is of course a big part of EMC's business.
