ahh, BW, you and others must not remember very well what it was like without online brokerages. All new technologies go through speedbumps. Problems will occur for many years to come, until most of the kinks are worked out. My best advice for you is to have another brokerage account as well...one with a human on the other end. Either that or realize that the technology is young and NONE of the online brokers are reliable. In fact, E-Trade has been continually rated as the one with the least down time and the lowest time to execution.
