Ken, I think you heard a tiny little Fed-squeak, not Pumpkin-squeak.
After all the fuss the last two times, this cut hardly made it into the news.
Was it totally expected today?

NEW YORK (AP) - Stocks were mixed today as the Federal Reserve
cut interest rates again, to protect the economy from a global slowdown.

The Dow Jones industrial average, down nearly 82 points before the Fed action was announced in the early afternoon, was down 25 points at 8,986 just before the close after shedding a 91-point gain.

Ligand also went up in the early afternoon, after languishing under $10 until 2pm.
