Okay, what does recent history have to say about a joint fed/discount rate cut and subsequent market reaction. I looked at the last 12 times and generally it says we are close to a short term top.

The average increase in the run up was 3.9% (median 3%; range .4% to 10.4%. The average number of days to the top was 12 (median 12; range 3 to 22). Thus, says history. But, we all know that past performance is no ... and BWDIK ...
