Why not? Your explanation of the gravamen of the offense sounds like RICO to me:

I am paraphrasing, but RICO applies when two or more individuals conspire to commit more than one predicate act, and a predicate act is a crime. I know that a common misconception is that RICO only applies to organized crime, but that's not so.

Do you mean, you don't think the evidence was sufficient to convict him?

I thought your point would be that he was unfairly targeted, something about which I know nothing. For a change.<g>
