Lousy customer service at CPU

I notice that the main complaint about CPU seems to be lousy customer service. There were several letters to the editor in the WSJ today in response to a negative article by an analyst, the authors generally agreed that CPU was a terrible place to shop.

For me it's really not that big of an issue since when I shop at one I either know exactly what I want or I'm there to browse through the games.

I was aware of these complaints for some time but I was under the impression that the company was actively implementing a better customer service policy and upgrading its IS technology. In the high-growth areas of the business - particularly training - I have heard very favorable comments from customers.

Am I missing something here? Is CPU getting better or worse in this regard?
