Well...that was fun. 20+ rise on the announcement that they were offering to sell
additional items. I guess if they announce they've actually sold at a profit electronics
and videos, the stock will rise, what, a 100 bucks a share? [ok, intraday, I don't wanna be
stupid about it and claim it will close that high.]

LJ,

I doubt I can make you feel much better. I can empathize(sp). Today's annoucement was not a surprise. AMZN did buy IMDB because they planned on selling Videos. The few cameras and barbie dolls are worth nothing. There will never be a profit so we skip forcasting what will happen then.

I stopped going to the Yahoo AMZN board because it was just a lot of baseless yelling
like IT WILL BE $150 BY FRIDAY or IT WILL BE BELOW $50 BY NEXT
WEEK. But now I think that's about as useful as any other analysis. Maybe more so.

Since fundamentals matter not, momentum is all that matters.

I have have finally capitulated. Covered my short, dumped my puts, flushed my LEAPS
and put the pitiful remains in a bond fund.

Ahhhhh...peace at last.

Except for my puts which I have written off in my mind as lost, I am more relaxed too. Much poorer to say the least.

I wish you the best.

Glenn
