Because, on a day to day basis, the market can cause an individual stock to rise or fall.

I don't think all the recent reports about Yosemite is provoking too much joy within Apples core market. I know I will be holding out for the next models. Most of my apple buddies will probably continue to wait for a pro model.

There hasn't been much good news on the hardware front, with the exception of the iMac. Don't think anyone considers Apple a serious monitor maker anymore. They don't make printers. OS 8.5 has serious problems, enough to scare me off for now, I might go for OS 8.6. OS X Server seems to be coming in late.

This could be part of the problem.
