The exploration work requirements and cash payments required to achieve a 40 per cent vested interest (Rock has option to achieve up to 70 per cent) in the Chilean project have been met. Finally!! The huge payments we have had to make that has caused us share dillution can now cease for awhile, and we can get on with drilling this property!! We have about a year and a half to make the decision whether we want that 30% or not, so it allows us to concentrate on the property! The Coiron East copper and gold exploration target is from a geological perspective capable of hosting a billion-tonne plus porphyry-style deposit. Results achieved from surface work and underground drilling to date has attracted serious interest from major mining companies. This is great news!! Our first "formal indication that major mining companies are looking at rocks property with the possibilities of a "Join Venture"!! The geological team from Compania Exploraciones Mineras Los Lobos S.A. has begun the last phase of geophysical work which will include an induced polarization and magnetometer survey over the main target (Mount Tacho) copper and gold area, the new gold discovery area and over the new copper discovery (Cerro Carmen). This should now make people ralize that we are looking at two different targets that are two different "possible deposits". One gold and the other copper. The Gold indicators may be a gold/copper porphry and the copper may be a copper/gold/silver porphry! At the AGM on Nov. 12, 1998 all resolutions set out in the information circular were passed. John Kowalchuk has been appointed to the board of directors. Mr. Kowalchuk is a senior project geologist with 29 years experience. Mr. Kowalchuk was a senior project geologist with "Placer Dome"! IMHO my bet is that this is just not coincidence, makes you wonder why somebody of such credentials would join a little company like Rock doesn't it!!!!!but then again I might be smokin marihoochy too!!!!
