We could extract position data from the GPS, however, the RTUs are located in fixed positions and we know where they are already. The real significance of this development will become apparent as we move into the larger scale electric utility market such as the EMEC project and the ones I referred to in the news release. With the resolution and accuracy of the time stamping, at a very affordable cost will give us an even greater significant competitive edge.

Speaking of competitive edge, a short while ago I visited a major electrical utility and saw one of the "big boys" SCADA system. I had a chance to look at their current shipment as the customer just received several "micro" RTUs. The system I saw used a small 8 bit microprocessor which I believe ran at 2 MHz. We are in the final testing of our "micro" RTU. Our unit is a 32 bit system running at 40 MHz. Their unit would take approximately 5.3 minutes to execute the same code that ours does in 1 second. And ours is less expensive!

The benefit of having the horsepower of our unit is in the ability to perform massive diagnostics and data processing. You could equate it to the early word processors running on CPM machines (we started with HP125s running HPWord) to todays highly graphic capable, spell and grammar checking Word Processors of today.

The GPS module is just one of many new innovations that we will be bringing out over the next several months.

Yeah! This must mean that we can soon get personalized SCADA. My wife sometimes accuses me of shutting down blood flow to my brain. With a personalized SCADA with time-stamp accurate to .001, I'll be able to prove to her that .....uh, I probably ought to quit while the blood flow question is still debatable. <g>
