Pete - Last I heard atmel has lost significant market shares of their flash market. Losing money in one of their biggest depts
is certainly hard to overcome given the fact that no other depts are stepping up to replace the revenue lost.

Sounds like you are assuming that since they are losing money they must be losing market share. There is no denying that they are losing money in flash, but one what do you base your statement that they are losing market share (not that I would dispute concrete data, but I'd like to see it.)

As for "no other depts are stepping up to replace the revenue lost" you must be kidding. Their non-flash revenues have grown about 75% over the last year (they are now 71% of total revenues and last year they were 40%, while total revenues have remained about the same.).
