PK, I am definitely not a team player. Never have been, even in sports. Yes, tennis and wrestling, my two main sports in high school and college, have teams involved, but in the game you are all by yourself. Except for doubles and tag teams, where I've never excelled. <G> My problem, according to a former boss, is lack of tactfulness. I do let my big mouth get me in trouble from time to time. And, in all honesty, I don't usually plan to cause trouble, it just happens. <G>

I did get house arrest a couple of times in the Army and I yo-yoed between PFC and Spec 6 more often than any guy I knew. But it was all co. punishment because they couldn't afford to send me away. The good news was, I was one of 4 guys in Europe who could put together a certain classified and very important antenna. If you put it together wrong, it fell over and broke during operation and you had to order new parts from the states. The 4 of us agreed not to teach anyone else until right before we were shipped home, which is when we were taught by the previous operators. True, there were a dozen guys in the States who could do it, but a local commander gets demerit points if he calls on his boss for help. So, we got away with all kinds of crap, as long as we did our jobs.

I agree that off the market settlements are taking place in many commodities, not just gold. But I don't believe it stays off the market forever. Cash settlement, thanks to loose credit, may hide the facts, but it is a bandaid and the market will eventually recognize it and factor it in.
