If this is a problem check with your tax adviser before drawing down. I think (going only from memory) that once you reach 70 1/2 you must start drawing down the NEXT year. In any event you should at least be able to wait until the end of the year. But in any event do not take my advice without verifying it. I have been out of practice for some time. JDN
