Clark, Just heard atmel had a 10% layoff this week. That is 10% of the headquarter staff in San Jose , not worldwide.
This includes engineers,marketing and etc. Note that they had never had a layoff since they went public in 1991. I think
this is a very bad sign. They had layoffs in their colorado fabs and other acquired companaies but never at the headquarters.
Look for the announcements soon.
