>>but Clik! is going to be OEM'd by NEC...<<

No, it isn't. At least no announcement has been made to this so far. NEC has a LICENSE to make and market the USB version of Vapor!. But it will not be built into ANYTHING. No OEM in this case, sorry.

Clik! is a Snap!,,

Went to the NEC display, they were very excited to show off
their USB Clik, It was hooked up to a mid size hand held systems
USB port ( pretty cool ). The rep demonstrated how it worked,
said they would be shipping 1Q 99.

Had some concerns about the process that Clik entailed but
after receiving a demonstration ( I had them take a picture
and explain and show the process ) feel that this is going to
be a hit with camera buffs, it was fast, will be an easy sell.

Using the card reader adapter, the flash card was inserted and
a button pushed loading the contents onto the Clik disk.
This was done without being connected to any other devise.
Once transfered it was then set into it's recharging base
and downloaded to the PC. Really Easy !

Haven't had time to go thru the posts to determine just what has
been said about the Sony HiFD but briefly while in their area
I pointedly asked if if the drive would format a
1.44 floppy, the person I asked at first said yes and when
I said that I had herd that it didn't another person was
called over and confirmed that it did not, the first person
relented to the senior rep statement. I'll further press the
issue with them to see if more information can be had.

The IOM pavilion was located in a central position at the base
of a main staircase, one couldn't help but run into them.

Regards to all
