Just curious, does TC2000 have data on Canadian stocks?

Thanks.

Actually MSWIN 6.5 does offer a database for Canadian Stocks.. it is offered by reutersdatalink.com and cost $269U.S/year for all Canadian and U.S stocks. Reuters and Metastock are now partners and you get a discount on Metastock if you sign up with Reuters when you buy the program.

Since Metastock was one of the first programs almost all data files offered on the net are in Metastock format or in the case of QP2 can be easily converted to Metastock format (open, high, low, close, volume)

I have not found a single data provider in the U.S that offers only Canadian data in metastock format. If you want Canadian data you also need to buy the U.S data. One individual wrote me about a company in Canada that offers only Canadian data but you need to write a database program to handle the data and my database programming skills have gone to hell since I graduated from Engineering.

I haven't signed up for a data provider yet. I want to spend a least 1 month playing with Metastock and writing scans before I start using and paying for up to date data. Metastock come with data for the past 5 years (from Aug 98 back) for all Canadian and U.S stocks and all indexes. I can use this data to test my scans and improve my skills. It is easy for me to paper trade with this data since I already know what the outcome is.

Best Regards
KEITH
