FMK> Thanks for the response, also I noticed while reading through the thread, that you got hurt with an option play in the past. While I don't consider myself a "risk averse" investor, I don't think I am able time an investment with any degree of accuracy. This last year I came up with a strategy that gives me some leverage but does not require pinpoint timing. Last spring, when I became convinced that VLNC much more likely to succeed than fail, I decided to convert 30% of my IRA to a Roth(about 50k). I used most of these funds to buy VLNC, the risk is that I can lose up to 50k and pay the taxes on it over four years, the upside is that every dollar of profit accrues tax free and after five years can be taken out with no penalties or left in and be blended with my regular IRA when I am required to take my accounts down after retirement. If I am wrong it will hurt but, if I am right benefits are far greater and I don't have to time the stock. duckster P.S> This morning my Roth is hovering at about 80k.
