MileHigh, This has been on the drawing board for some time. Note that this is a "Concurrent Rambus" application and not "Direct Rambus" (i.e., the older technology for those not fully up on Rambus-speak). Here's the reference: techweb.com The big deal here, IMHO, is that there is a good 'proof of concept' that Rambus has applications in high volume consumer products in addition to computer applications. Since it's reasonable to assume that the current CPQ/Panasonic product is an 'early adopter' sort of thing, what we should watch for is a continuing commitment that would include Direct Rambus.
