Lastly, COMS is much more than a NICs company, and eventually this will be a smaller part of the business. COMS has a broad range of areas it's well prepared to go into. Agreed. That's basically why I'm in COMS. I figure NICs and modems will continue to be a respectable, but not spectacular business (at least as far as bottom-line growth goes). But they seem well-positioned to sell xDSL and cable modem gear, and higher end switches. And the stock price is low enough that the bar isn't set too high.
