Now that Syquest is gone, I reminisce about how I followed this company, as a short seller, with intense effort in 1996 and early 1997. The one thing I found useful about this thread, at that time, was that a Syquest employee posted here. He didn't say that he was an employee, but he sounded like one, and he used his real name, which I verified with Syquest's HR as an engineer employee. This individual always was too optimistic, expecting that lots of funding was coming and supplies would head the company's way in a matter of days, when in fact they came much later and smaller than expected. Once I learned to ignore his optimistic claims, and his axe-grinding with investors who favored a certain competing company, I found some of his posts to be highly useful. For example, one time in 1996 he posted on this thread the rumor he had heard in the office of the eps that was to be announced the next day, and it turned out to be right on the money. He didn't say where he heard the rumor, but I knew, since I knew he was an employee. That advanced notice of the quarterly results proved to be very useful trading intelligence :-) Here's his profile, for anybody who's interested: Member 753093
