Yousef, It is easy to stretch and break analogies as they are really fragile. The recent gains by AMD show that they are in reality gaining on intel. It matters not how far back they are, just that they are still in the running and still gaining. When you go from losses to profits you can get huge share price gains as we have seen with AMD recently.
The ratio of their two profits is the lapping ratio, if you like, and since AMD went from - to + they are gaining no matter how smal l they are wrt Intel.
