UNIX , still the standard and IBM's is developing it further with SCO

Robert , when the chips are down (hehehe).... MSFT relying on UNIX at Hotmail equals a atheist praying to God while his jury is deciding .

IBM offers UNIX as the host OS on its new G5 mainframes and just completed a agreement with SCO to port its INTC based UNIX to IBM's PowerPCs .

IBM has planned for a PowerPC UNIX since 1991:

>> " At its conception, PowerPC posed a major potential challenge to Intel, since it was being designed to run Windows NT, Unix and Macintosh operating systems. " <<

Seems like the neXT OS step is Windows NT on a IBM PowerPC , within UNIX , with open JAVA of course .

Regards,
Jim K.
