The news of losing .41 cents a share was bad. Optimism was still their at conference call. These are my interpretaions of ECD's information given.

1. The replacement for Flash memories is not dead yet. Very active talks are going on with other companies. (Details and names of companies are not being talked about yet.)

2. United Solar Systems space solar panels have been tested by NASA in the Lab and found to be able to take temperature change, are light weight and stand up to radiation damage. The panels were just installed in Mir Space Station and are testing out great. None of the news has been announced to public by NASA yet. Maybe we will get a blurb somewhere.

3. We are not just waiting for Space Station to get financing. We are in discussions with other telecommunication's companies. (This is in connection with United Solar Systems solar panel products.)

United solar Systems panels were also tested in Finland (I think that was the country mentioned) Where I cloudy conditions prevail. The country that tested the panels said that in cloudy conditions make Amorphous solar panels superior to crystalline over all because of their performance in cloudy conditions.

4. I got the big anouncement down here at 4. The new EV is coming with N-MH batteries expect anouncement from GM soon ??? The 80 Wh/Kg N-MH battery will not be in at start but will be put in late in model year. (The 70 Wh/Kg expect to double the current lead acid batteries was mentioned.)

5. ECD will be marketing its heavy batteries to other business besides EV manufactures. (The impression I got was ECD is doing this not GM-Ovonics.)

6. ECD was elated that it got Japanese Patent approval for its Re-writeable disks. It looks good for dealing with those not licensed yet in phase change. Stan has taken credit for coming up with phase change technolgy. (I remember, after all he did invent the first Mass Memory Machine that started phase change.)( What ECD didn't say, their
to nice a company. We now have patent laws to take license violators to court if need be.) I would not be surprise if this was now mentioned to the companies that don't have licenses.

7.ECD is very happy about the Sanyo deal. Sanyo is a company that makes all types of batterie's. It has decided in the furture to focus on Ni-MH batteris. It was expressed we could have forced a better deal with sanyo but went with a fair deal looking to the future for other deals.
(I want to mention I think ECD tries to do business the right way. In the long end of doing business its the best way.)

Royalties I think we are getting their standard rates for heavy batteries 1-1/2% to 3% as other contracts. I can't remenber what was said but I did here 3% mentioned. This is a non exclusive license.

8. Other batteries companies not mentioned by name are in contact with ECD in regards to heavy battery licenses. ( This was my impression anybody please comment on this as I can't remember what was said to get this impression.)

9. The 25 megwatt plant is being held up in finance and some research being done. One of the research programs I think also is holding it up. ECD is trying to get it going as soon as possible.

10. Stan was ask about the Russian deal how it was going? He said Russian visitors from the battery business were waiting to talk more about strategies for batteries now.( Meaning today.)( It seems the Russians have been testing the Heavy batteries in busses over in Russia.) Cost savings I belive was mention as a topic.
The last payment of 300,000 Owed to us was paid.

11. The old cost curve on the EV was mention. ECD is ahead on its own cost curve. I don't think any new numbers were throw out.

12. Question was ask about Solar house in Maryland and Solar panel Egypt sales project has it worked ? The Maryland house gets a lot of vistors and is very positive. Egypt sale was mentioned as being Ok.

Coments and corrections welcomed.

Fred, I was thinking of the recent satellite when I said that the thrust would be too low. It had to carry it's own supply of gas to ionize. Now that I think about it, there should be enough natural ionized gas already up there to propel the vehicle. It wouldn't need to carry "fuel" for station keeping, just use what is already there, suck it in the front of the engine, and force it out of the back with magnetic fields.
