Mark, But AMAT is cheap vs. the earnings they will have for one quarter at the next manic top in five years or so. <G>

AMAT beating the estimate was a layup...I don't see how this company will trade at any more than $25 a share next year. It's a great company but right now they are getting no orders for any kind of anything <G>. This industry is headed for the kind of capacity overbuild the likes of which noone has ever seen before. They'll be on the Xmas list for shoppers because they "beat the estimate" this quarter...but once people realize they will not see the kind of revenues and earnings they saw the last few years for at least another 2 years...the reaper will come a knockin and bury this puppy with the rest of the semi-equipment stocks. I'm even thinking some of these players won't survive this severest of downcycles so watch where you prance with your dollars.

I totally agree...it is really mind-numbing how Captain Morgan and other "prestigious firms" such as the Lynch mob can justify any of their comments. But the best profit opportunities exist when everyone convinces everyone else hoping for a self-fulfulling prophecy only to go the complete opposite direction.

Regards,
