Schreiber makes an excellent point.

Paul: 'coz for one thing they can't afford not to own DELL. Another thing I noticed is the following comment by Schrieber:-

..'Schreiber notes that Dell's share price has usually weakened in November and December as analysts pondered the outlook for personal computer sales in the coming year.'...

This is quite an astute observation, though I haven't noticed a weakening but rather I did notice sideways movements during previous Nov/Dec months only to roar back in Jan/Feb.I guess the smart ones accumulates during this period.

Fidelity-Another thing I learned is that Fidelity did sell 7% of their
Dell holdings in Sept and Oct, when the market was in the dumper,to buy 'dogpaq',not a very wise move if you ask me but like your post said they do still own 37 or 38 million shares.

Hummm.. may be that is why Merril Lynch issued an 'accumulate' on Dell this month with a long term buy, probably a 'strong buy' to follow in Jan or Feb when the action really begins.
