Glenn - I know what you mean about the threads. You can probably skip the first 443 posts on Raging Bull and start with post #444 by Bandwidth. There is a fair number of non-informative posts that you will have to click through to get to the good stuff, but I think its worth the effort. Here is a short summary I posted over there this morning for another person who is starting to research TGCC: - the company has some exciting technology that will take video-conferencing to a new level. It is more than VC, more like multimedia collaboration. There are many applications for the technology, visit teraglobal.com to get a list. - the company is moving from development stage to implementation stage, product should start shipping within a couple of months. - the company is trading on the BB right now, but is in the process of getting listed on the NASDAQ. - the company is "underfollowed" right now, by the time the world discovers TeraGlobal, train tickets may have appreciated considerably. - the company apparently has one or more very large contracts with Fortune 10-level companies. - the company very recently acquired Design & Analysis Associates (http://www.daa-utah.com), which will give them an even deeper engineering bench with some heavy-duty skills in the appropriate areas. - the company entered into an agreement with Ingram Micro, whereby IM will provide production and distribution services for TGCC. TGCC stated that they required a partner on the scale of IM to meet their production requirements. That means significant volumes. Significant volumes means significant revenues. Those are a few thoughts of the top of my head, I'm sure others will be able to add the things I've omitted. -------------- Another place you can go to read about PowerPC and Altivec is:mackido.com TGCC is using both of those technologies (Apple Mac's injected with Altivec super-steroid processors) to deliver the next generation of video-conferencing/multimedia collaboration. I will be interested to know what you think if you check into this further. One source of frustration has been the fact that the company is playing things fairly close to the vest, until they get closer to launching their technology on the world. An Open House for shareholders was conducted recently which seemed to go a long, long way towards placating some of those on the Raging Bull board that were clamoring for specifics. Unfortunately, they have not passed along the details from that meeting, but the generalities sound promising (product to start shipping soon, NASDAQ listing in progress, funding is available from multiple sources). If you can believe what you read, Apple is very keenly interested in TGCC (for obvious reasons) at the very highest levels of the company (Jobs).
