August

<<<But with a caution notation that most of the AMTD traders only making an average of three trades per month. So that may have a profound effect on the revenues as active traders migrate to brokerages with more effeciant ways of taking care of their customers.>>>>

Huge statement. The lightly traded accounts are not the money makers.

Its the active traders that make 3 a DAY or more that pay the freight for AMTD and its stockholders. Lose them, lose you profits.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Will the
big guys like Merrill simply buyout an existing online company
like MorganStanleyDean Witter did or will they start their own.
How will they prevent someone from having an account with a broker
and get all the advice and research and then buy most of their
stock at a discounter?
If I had a guess, I would say they will gravitate to asset
management on a fee basis and everyone will be dealing at the
discount window..... Sorta Like WalMart did in retailing...gil
