It's official! The Disney/Starwave/SEEK deal is done. It seems likely that this alliance is destined for success. Starwave majority founder, Paul Allen - Microsoft co-founder, and the likes of the Disney folks seem to give this venture a solid foundation.
Something I don't quite understand though is that this venture has been known about for some time now and the stock price really hasn't gone substantially higher, re- E-bay, LCOS, Yahoo! etc. The only logical conclusion I can make is that the deal had to officially be voted on and maybe there was some possibility that it would be nixed! Just guessing but it seems odd that such a solid venture wouldn't have driven the stock up to some substantial degree already (not even close to 52 week high). Maybe, hopefully, people will be keyed in tomorrow to today's news and the stock will jump! Any thoughts?
