The Fed did do similar things in 29- I believe there were several rate cuts which actually exacerbated the situation (but I don't have time to verify this- I know there are some of you out there who know this period well- were there not cuts?). A speculative bubble is a speculative bubble and if you don't think we are in one now I suggest you read up on the other historical bubbles. Sure it could go up for a bit more, but when the stock market is bigger than gnp and stocks like AMZN have bigger market caps than real companies that actually have real earnings- then Houston we have a problem.

Paul- don't follow your reference to 1000. I guess you have faith in AG et al - whatever - when you see Amazon and the rest who's to blame you for feeling that it's the endless summer all over again?
