But the smaller ones are faster - to learn the mechanics..

Why?

-The stories are thinner. There is often only one product to be hyped, just one story to be told. And, so if it's over then the whole thing returns to normal levels.

-For the bigger co's its more difficult. They are omnipresent, yell all across the States and and have the money to buy and carry forward some stocks by themselves if necessary...

-This omnipresence in the new media leads to some externalities, user and investor collaboration at a much higher level. The effects add up and multiply. Thus - 'Yahooing' works out. And yet- the have widely used useful products..

Some smaller co's to short. XYBR is diving, almost ready worn.
BFLY, Bluefly the former "Pivot Rules", PVTR is hyped at the CNBC sqwawk box, and might go to 10. It will be a shorter's dream again. Now at 8+ it may be too early, the zillion turnover orgasm is just missing right now.

Have fun.
