>> wire at this amount

I think MB was speaking figuratively. $x.xx looks pretty
figurative to me <g>.

"I don't think you can do wire at this amount, or at least, the bank will charge you more than this amount just for wire service. "

I might shop around for a better bank if I were you. I don't get a charge for wiring money into my account. The point was that I requested Datek make the transfer twice, and twice Datek responded that I had successfully requested a wire transfer. Then Datek turned around the next day and credited the amount back to my account, with no explanation. Yes, the amount was for less than $10, it was an interest credit on leftover cash from the first 2 days of October. Perhaps Datek did not want to wire such a small amount out. Their software could have easily rejected my request for a wire transfer. It did not. Datek could have sent an email explaining that they had returned the funds requested to my Datek account, they did not. I would not have been aware of what they did, had I not looked. I do not see a minimum for a wire transfer in Datek's Help Desk page.

All in all, it's nothing but a minor annoyance in the scheme of things, but it certainly leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
