>>Obviously, TA can't predict rumor, but how does it incorporate it into its
models?

I purchased FORE this morning (at 14 1/2) strictly on TA. I noticed that the stochastic indicators were near bottom and that the %K was crossing the %D (or vice versa) at a very sharp angle. It jumped out at me and was a very clear indicator, because I haven't been watching Fore and haven't been following the latest news involving them.

My decision was based solely on the TA indicators. Although notice that I didn't pre-predict the FORE rise, I only quickly acted on the indicators which measured this rise.

Ed,

Then again I'm long so I'm probably biased.....

And so am I. I've held this stock (varying amounts) for over two years, and have managed to make money. I doubled my position this morning, purely on the feeling that it was oversold. I managed to catch it at 14 with a market buy order soon after the open. It sure moved fast!

Has TA given you a winning strategy in the stock market? Can you recommend a beginner's book?
