Bernard:

Dell, Compaq, and Gateway are all comparable... You could probably get a good sub $1000 computer if you're just interested in trading... If you're looking for more extensive use, the $1500 to $2000 range should cover all your needs...

I have had two Microns and have enjoyed both very much. The strongest point of Micron is their Tech Support. I am not a "geek" and in fact know very little about computers , but that did not deter the staff at Micron from helping me out :-)
