tippet. My post refers to power generating plants and heavy industries that generate their own power with large steam driven turbine generators. Anyone who suggests that it's just a matter of switching these industries back to manual simply doesn't know what they are talking about. What effect Y2K will have on these plants is another question and will only be settled come Jan. 1st, 2000. I do know that Canada and England have placed their militaries on standby to deal with this. That, in itself, should cause concern.
