Joe,

Today's average trade size was:

1,096 shares

There were 16.020500 Million shares traded over 14,610 trades.

The last trade size was 100 shares.

There were a couple of big blocks that moved today, so take off say 2M from the total and you get an average trade size under 1K. Usually when the big boys want to accumulate the stock price doesn't go up. They keep it nice and steady.

If the big boys were buying we would see action like the last week. (that is pretty much no action). After options have expired you will likely see 2-3 upgrades.
