Tom - Although I know practically nothing about cable, my understanding (and it makes good sense) is that cable is a very noisy environment because the cable picks up all the EMI noise from everything else. Thus CDMA makes sense to mitigate the effects of that noise in cable. But satellite bounces typically have much less of a noise problem because of the directional antennae and the fact that they are using allocated spectrum. Just FYI.
