tip

you may disagree with this observation, but it seems to me that certain stocks seem to be lightning rods for having the right opinion. The two examples I have in mind are mu and iom. People seem to be just totally overpassionate about where these stocks are going. Do you agree and please explain.

(There are 19 si threads devoted to iom)

As a ^vix watcher, tell me what your reading is now.

my inexperienced eye sees this data:

Last Trade
Nov 18 · 25.11 Change
-2.83 (-10.13%) Prev Cls
27.94 Volume
25.11 - 28.06 Bid
27.20 Avg Vol
52-week Range
16.73 - 60.63

and sees it is near low end of range and off 10% yesterday, meaning options prices should be more attractive, that the market is "calming" and "more complacent".

that is one of those kind of stats that boggles the mind. I showed someone at work yesterday the market caps of amzn, yahoo and ebay and compared those quality operations (sales/profit/market cap) to their own co and it's similar stats. They had no idea. stunning to say the least. however, logic has been wrong and will continue to be so I'm afraid.
