Nuc: Good post -- I am in the same (or worse) situation. I missed a 1500 point rise on the DOW due to my own dogmatic beliefs. Essentially lost two months of healthy gains due to my own stupidity. Where will this end? The rampant speculation in the Internuts tells me that something is really amiss. Electronic commerce, electronic catalogs -- good grief, what is the big deal? (I love AMZN, 'cause their prices are so low. But will their gross margins always be negative?) At the same time, I have yet to see a compelling explanation that the buildup in moneymarket funds will not continue to push the market higher. Maybe something has changed. Perhaps there is just toooo much liquidity chasing too few stocks. Alan would not approve, but his interest is clearly the debt markets. I am standing aside, unfortunately with less $$$$ than I had six weeks ago. If I trade, I am going to daytrade!
