Randall, Brown appears to the sweeping differently from other brokers... you are unaware of any sweeping but you do earn interest .... they don't talk about a money market fund... they just pay the interest.

Brown has always paid a less then money market rate of interest on cash, so don't leave cash sitting there for a long time. On the other hand, their margin borrowing rates are terrific, I pay below the broker call rate. In fact, when I was going to close my Brown account because they were slow to offer internet trading, I kept them because I couldn't find anyone else with margin rates near as attractive.

The moral of this story is, borrow money from Brown, but don't lend them any.
